It has been a delight to travel with the other ten members of this team. They have been so flexible and willing to go along with whatever was happening (even when we didn’t know what was happening). We have laughed. We have cried. We have sang and prayed and shared on a deep level. It’s weird to think that in just two days we will each drive to our homes and then only see one another on occassion after sharing so much with one another.
Families at home: you must be so proud of them. They have heart and integrity, humor and compassion, wisdom and sensitivity to God.
I look forward to the time when our group can share with you all that we have seen and done and felt within us. I pray that God will grant us the ability to reflect on our experiences in such a way that we can make sense of it and articulate it to you. So many of the best experiences we have had do not feel as though they can be reduced to words. The experience of being prayed for by the girls being at the top of that list of experiences.
May God give NFC a clear sense of call for how he is calling us to “Live out Love.”
Peace.

Bible but a scholar once told me about some writings which didn’t make it into the Bible that are very believable if you know Jesus. One was that Jesus had laid down for the night to sleep and the bed was infested with bugs so Jesus got out of bed and commanded them to come out! The bugs all filed out and spent the night in the corner of the room and returned to the mat only after Jesus had awakened and got up for the day. He was a blast on those trips!
